In addition, this device has achieved hydrogen concentrations of up to 2 mg/L — exceeding the solubility limit of hydrogen in water under normal conditions, which is 1.6 mg/L. Hydrogen water generators capable of producing concentrations above 1.6 mg/L are classified as high-concentration hydrogen water generators . This is typically accomplished through increased pressure and the presence of hydrogen in microbubbles.
What sets the Paino device apart is that it reaches high concentrations without the use of increased pressure — relying solely on hydrogen in microbubbles. In this regard, Paino devices were ahead of their time: high-concentration hydrogen water generators only began appearing on the market in 2019.
Electrode-Membrane Assembly Development
Based on their own developments, specialists at Paino Technology have developed an electrode-membrane assembly (cell) (MEA), used for drinking water.
Platinum Implantation Process
In this electrode-membrane cell, the process of platinum (catalyst) implantation and reduction occurs within the membrane itself, a few microns away from its surface.
This results in a characteristic uneven coloration of the membrane, which is normal and a feature of the technology.
Advantages of the MEA Membrane
The advantages of the MEA membrane include high mechanical strength and the absence of a binding material during the application of the platinum coating - no carbon carrier is used, and no reagents other than platinum are used.
All this makes PAINO a safer and more efficient device compared to its counterparts.
